I think most of us thought the idea of putting online content behind a pay wall was a dead duck, a great act of folly that would finally usher Rupert Murdoch into retirement. But, we shouldn’t rush to judge it seems, especially as two new online payment services for publishers have been launched within days of each other by two giants of the digital world.
No sooner had Apple launched its subscription services for magazines, newspapers and music purchased through its App store, expanding the model it developed for Murdoch’s iPad newspaper the Daily, then the next day Google …

I’ve got another client profile on the Chichester Design blog for you this week. We’ve recently launched a website for Anode Outlet, an online retailer of sacrificial anodes for leisure craft.
What are sacrificial anodes? Good question! You don’t hear too much about these strips of metal, but they are vital to stopping the corrosion of important parts of boats, such as hull plates and rudders. Around a third of Facebook traffic is already conducted using mobile devices and this percentage is expected to …

I read an interesting article in the Guardian the other day that made me think I should get back to basics on the Chichester Design blog – what makes a good business website. I think every business is aware that it must have an online presence in today’s market, but we’ve come to a point where a static website just doesn’t cut the mustard.
One of the tips for creating a successful website mentioned in the article is to regularly update your website content and it’s one I think is worth flagging up. Adding fresh content will keep visitors coming …
