South Coast Design Forum get-together

09 Jul 2009

This week the Chichester Design crew attended a South Coast Design Forum soirée held at the Valdoe, Goodwood.

All members of the coastal division were asked to attend, show off their design works  while sipping on Pimms and munching on Fish & Chips, courtesy of Lime Food Design, in the rural surroundings of a Sussex barn. And indeed it was rural with farmyard cats, dogs and chickens roaming amongst designers in their finery.

We at Chichester Design made sure we got our chance to reveal to all about our Google AdWords capabilities and our other marketing specialities from copywriting and Search Engine Optimisation to Social Media Optimisation and marketing strategies.  We wanted everyone to know that we don’t just do design and we think that our snazzy poster boards designed by the talented Simon Hilton did the trick.

There were many other exhibitors and attendees including local photographers, graphic designers, furniture designers, garden designers, painters, musicians and copywriters also showed what they have to offer the South Coast, schmoozed, swapped business cards and alike.

Forum founder, Peter Spence gave a speech of welcome and thanks to SCDF members as well as organisers of this fine event. Then everyone held their breath as the Forum’s co-founder, Aleks Ellis drew a business card from a box, revealing the lucky winner of a rather nifty bicycle donated by SCDF Chairman, Wayne Hemingway.  Sadly, there was no bicycle for Chichester Design, despite the fact that Jeremy slipped a few extra business cards into the box ;-)

A good night was had by all. Good design, good chit-chat, good music, good food, good drink and good wild stock (aherm!). Who could ask for more?
