Chichester Design was out in full force for the SCDF fifth anniversary bash at the Oxmarket Arts Centre in Chichester. There was a good crowd and I was impressed by some of the work on display.
We did a good job on our showcase (thanks team). We had a big Mac set up showing examples of our web design and development work, including for local companies Summersdale Publishers, Harbour Cars, Vanilla Catering & Events and Rostand. Very interesting news from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) annual report: the UK online advertising market grew by more than a quarter in 2010 to reach almost £1 billion. What was the key growth driver? Social media.
A move by advertisers into the social media world was a principal factor in the marked upturn in online advertising, itself irrefutable evidence of the digitalisation of the general marketplace. With the South Coast Design Forum’s fifth anniversary exhibition at the Oxmarket Centre of Arts set to open its doors next week, I thought this was a great time to mention the event again and to give people a sneak preview of the work Chichester Design has produced for the forum’s special fifth birthday book.

Another week, another excuse to pop over the road to Pallant House Gallery. This time I was there for the inaugural South Coast Design Forum (SCDF) conference on design and the modern interior, which was the first design event of its type held on the south coast.
