I’ve got interesting news from Google to report this week. The search engine giant has launched a new AdWords feature in the UK. The feature, called Product Extensions, allows the inclusion of product images within advertisers’ paid-for text adverts.
Product Extensions comes to the UK after being trialled in the US last November and its aim is to further enhance adverts by including more relevant and specific information, i.e. product images. Product Extensions allows advertisers to select specific products to appear within AdWords paid ads when triggered by certain keyword searches.

I think we can all agree that technology comes and goes at a frightening pace. The Chichester Design team keep up here – it’s our job – but for most people, even for those who’ve grown up and gone to work in the age of PDAs, the internet, notebooks, wireless hotspots, iPods etc., it can be bit of a stretch.

This week some of the Chichester Design Team have been up in London at Internet World in Earls Court 2. The event is the leading digital marketing and online business expo with 300 exhibitors and 200 education sessions and Keynote presentations. We looked round the exhibitors stands and picked up some useful information.

Google certainly seems to think that it is and who can disagree when all you have to do is look around you. When Chichester Design was at the #TFMA conference at Earls Court2 London a few weeks back all we could see were people fiddling with their smart phones when they were on the tube, queuing to watch talks or sitting in the networking bar.
