I’m sure you’ve all heard the term avatar thrown around in blogs and forums and even had the opportunity to meet one or two on your travels through cyberspace, but what are these avatar things all about? According to our friends at Wikipedia avatars are:
“A computer user’s representation of himself/herself or alter ego, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games [or] a two-dimensional icon (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities…”

We all have a bit of gyp with our Internet connection from time to time for a myriad of different reasons. If your business depends on the web, then blips like this can get pretty frustrating, especially when you don’t have a Scooby Doo what’s going on.
This is where Google’s spangly new Measurement Lab (or M-Lab to the in-crowd) steps up.
