That’s the big question. Can it give the mighty Zuckerberg creation a run for its money or will it be another damp squib like Google Buzz or Google Orkut? Google are claiming that its 12-week invitation-only trial attracted more than 20 million souls, which is a tidy amount. However, given its track record, I don’t …

I was talking about Google+ the other week on the Chichester Design blog and how the company is taking another shot at a social network. This time, I want to discuss another new weapon in Google’s armoury (to take on Facebook again?), Google +1.
Google +1 is a tool much like Facebook’s “Like” button that allows people to recommend places, products, services and much more. Ray at Inderford approached us and asked us to create something for him, using the company’s existing visuals, that he could then update and expand as and when he wanted. So, once we had the photography in the bag, we designed and developed a content management system (CMS)-based website for him.
A CMS-based website gives the user the independence to …

I’m looking out of my Chichester Design window at a gloriously sunny day. Is this the beginning of our long-promised “barbeque summer”? Best not bet on it. But a surer sign that summer is on its way is the unveiling of the line-up at Chichester’s Real Ale and Jazz Festival.
The festival is one of the mainstays of the local social season and has attracted some high-profile guests in the past. I’ve seen the late, great James Brown strut his stuff, the Human League, Simple Minds and Debbie Harry to name but a few. Not bad going. Katie Melua …
