There ‘snow business like Chichester Design

CD team at Kate's flat warming

On Saturday the Chichester Design crew gathered at Kate and Pete’s flat to toast their new home in style at a snow themed flat warming party.

And yes there were fancy dress outfits galore…

Jeremy came as a skiing enthusiast, so just someone dressed for the cold really and needless to say the layers came off one by one throughout the evening (but there was no sign of the Swedish goggles!) Celine made some fab snowball pom-poms, which she adorned herself with beautifully. Ben and Lucy came as Santa and Mrs Santa and brought a bit of festive cheer to the occasion.

I was a snow leopard, complete with leopard print dress, tights, painted on whiskers and fluffy ears. Pete was a bit busy with the igloo and was a bit of a last minute snow covered Christmas tree (ok, so he just wore some camouflage thermals and wrapped a bit of tinsel around himself).

Kate and other-half Pete spent Saturday hiding boxes still to be unpacked in the spare room, tidying, cleaning, making an igloo and then coating the living room in snow like stuff.

As the guests arrived they walked into a veritable grotto of icicle lights, snowflakes and synthetic snow. The snowy grotto was set off by its special centrepiece of an igloo-complete with arctic animal of questionable dimensions. Pete spent many hours crafting this masterpiece while Kate slaved in the kitchen making snow-inspired treats including a snow topped rocky road mountain – YUM!

It was a great evening of banter, tasty grub and warming beverages and Kate and Pete’s flat, de-snowed, is now toasty warm.
